Using various blowtorches, I char the timber’s surface, allowing the fine rim to burn and smoulder, creating an uneven, organic finish, a comfortable contrast between the natural and charred wood.
A versatile piece, I use two at the dinner table for salt and pepper. They’re also perfect for trinkets or earrings.
