Horizon

The Horizon range revolves around the organic edge of the piece and how it interacts with its surroundings.  Each piece has been turned on the lathe to a delicate edge.  The next process involves using a variety of blow torches to work the surface, burning away the softer summer growth of the grain and revealing hidden patterns within the wood.  The fine edge is allowed to smoulder and burn and, with some artistic encouragement, a new, organic, edge is produced.  No two pieces are the same and a variation of the treated surfaces offer a number of colour variations.
