Free standing platform, a separate environment to the one it is standing on.
These pieces are named Tepui, inspired by the isolated, flat-topped mountains of South America—so remote and inaccessible that many are reached only by air, and each hosts its own distinct world of flora and fauna, separate from the landscape below.
Note: This weighed 12.46kg before I started carving the form. It now weighs 0.87kg
Size: length 95cm width 15cm height 6cm
Provenience: Made from a mature beech tree that succumbed to the fungi Meripilus giganteus and was felled October 2025.
