This bowl, more than any of the other shapes, requires the mind and body to be focused in unison with the tool and timber. Every movement is recorded in the seamless change in direction of the final piece. Constant fingertip feel and studying of the light reflected from the surface give feedback to the maker. The finished piece has a therapeutic calmness, one that is experienced too in its creation.
